Course Materials

The course is based on the Basic English for Computing coursebook published by Oxford University Press, covering three key areas:

  • Development of professional vocabulary (IT terminology).

  • Business communication skills.

  • Communicative grammar.

The course is designed to strengthen and expand existing knowledge while developing communication skills in the four core language competencies: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

By the end of the course, participants will know:

  • Professional business and IT vocabulary used in both formal and informal communication within the topics covered during the course.

  • The correct use of present, past, and future tenses, modal verbs, non-finite verb forms, reported speech, and other essential grammar structures.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Hold conversations and discuss the topics covered during the course.

  • Express and justify their opinions and attitudes toward written and spoken materials.

  • Understand spoken English related to the course topics with an appropriate level of comprehension according to the communicative context.

  • Deliver presentations on the topics studied during the course and communicate effectively in business and IT-related situations.
