Individual Online Training

Course duration: 30 academic hours in a virtual classroom with a teacher (1 academic hour = 40 minutes). Students choose the days and times that best suit their schedule.

The Medical English course is suitable for all professionals in the healthcare sector — doctors, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and medical students.

The course includes:

• First-hand information about working conditions in England, healthcare institutions, career development opportunities, and the specifics of professional language culture.

• Familiarization with job interview procedures, as well as the most frequently asked questions during interviews.

• Preparation for the medical English examination required for professional recognition and registration in England.

• A specialized advanced course requiring a minimum English proficiency level of B1.

• Introduction to specialized terminology and communication situations, including doctor–patient consultations, informed consent procedures, performing specific medical procedures, writing medical histories, discharge summaries, and completing everyday medical forms used by doctors in England.

Thanks to this course, you will improve your language proficiency, expand your professional vocabulary, and acquire new language skills and expressions specific to your field of expertise.

The course is dynamically structured according to the personal requirements and questions of the participants. It includes 40 academic hours and covers the following topics:

Ways of searching and finding employment in England, writing a CV and a cover letter.

Job application letters for specific positions. Job interview simulation.

3.

Features of the English social security system and healthcare system, professional hierarchy, teamwork. Working in an emergency department, hospital admission procedures, medical rounds, and patient discharge.

4.

Writing medical histories, commonly used abbreviations in English medical terminology, discussions.

5.

Medical history writing – practical exercises.

6.

Specialized medical examinations and procedures in your field, writing discharge summaries, discussions.

7.

Discharge summaries – practical exercises.

8.

Medical forms: medical certificates, applications for additional treatment/rehabilitation, death notifications, guardianship of severely disabled patients.
